Life can work in funny ways sometimes. Last week I felt God challenge me to blog more and to just be transparent about my walk with Him. I said to myself ‘okay, cool I can do that.’ I just asked the Lord to give me topics to write about. I sat down on Friday and wrote a blog post about ‘Being Present.’ I thought to myself afterwards ‘Okay God I did it, but I don’t think this is anything special.’ Little did I know what was coming. Fast forward to Sunday and my Mom briefly mentioned that a lady in our church had read my blog post and told my Mom it had really ministered to her, she also mentioned how when I wrote it was very well done. This really encouraged me and it reminded me that we shouldn’t doubt ourselves. It’s really easy as women to doubt the decisions we make and to at times be insecure because it’s so easy to compare ourselves and think that we’re nothing special. Here’s what I’d like to say, don’t doubt the call God has on your life, don’t doubt what He’s promised you He’ll do, don’t doubt the prayers you pray. God has called us and He has a plan for us. All He asks of us is that we trust Him and do our best to honour Him. Be confident in the life you’ve been given, trust God, be obedient everything will work out because He is faithful! You never know when God asks you to do something and you’re obedient how it might impact someone.
Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.
For I know the plans I have for you,” says the lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
