A lot of the people around me have been going through some pretty big life changes. I have friends who have graduated, gotten married & have been going on big trips. It had me thinking about my own life & how the only thing that changes constantly is the TV shows I watch & the music I listen to. I’m in a season of routine, nothing changes very often since I’m in school & also working, with that comes a lot of hard work, time & responsibility. It’s so easy to sit & wish your life away. I remember when I was in high school me & all of my friends would wish the years away & would talk about how we couldn’t wait until we were finished school & what we would do after. Looking back now I miss those days & I can’t believe I’ll be out of high school for 6 years come this September. Time goes by SO fast & it’s so easy for us to become complacent with our lives especially in a day & age where everybody on YouTube & Instagram seems to have the picture perfect life.
Everybody is in a different season & that doesn’t mean that the other person’s season is better than yours. It might appear that way but you don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes. Sure there may be natural changes like marriage, new jobs & big trips, granted at times that can leave you feeling left out but God has a reason for this season. There is a purpose in the season you’re in don’t forget that. Enjoy it, relish in it, make the best of it. You’ll look back later in life on this season & see that it was all worth it. Even if it’s a hard season find the good in it. A quote that has always helped me when I’ve been going through a difficult storm is this,
Even when the sky is filled with clouds the sun still shines above it.
Do your best to find the good things in your life & dwell on them, you’ll find yourself being thankful no matter what season you’re in.
Your life will be brighter than the noonday.Even darkness will be as bright as morning.Job 11:17For everything there is a season,a time for every activity under heaven.Ecclesiastes 3:1
