I really felt the need to touch on this topic & be transparent with you guys. It’s so easy to look at my Instagram & think that my life is perfect. I have this really aesthetic white theme going on & for the most part, I try to stay positive on there. I also do my best to be transparent, but still, I feel as if my life comes off as perfect on social media & I’m here to tell you that that’s very far from the truth. Just last weekend I had a really bad day where I was letting my emotions get the best of me, I have times when I feel really lonely, & yes, there are even times when I don’t want to go to church or read my Bible. I wanted to put it out there that I am not perfect & neither are you & it’s okay to be human. It can be so hard to look at people’s lives especially on the internet & not think that they have it all together & then you feel even worse about yourself, I’m here to tell you that they’re imperfect as well. We all have bad days, we feel sad, we get mad, etc. It’s normal its part of life, but guess what? We have Jesus & in our weakness, He shows His strength. I’ve been reminded that yes, I’ll have bad days & I’m imperfect, but Jesus, Jesus knows me better than anyone & despite my imperfections, He still wants me, will still use me, & has a great plan for my life. Just remember when things aren’t going exactly how you want them that God still loves you & that through Him we can have abundant life. I’ve found that the more we put our focus on God the happier & more satisfied we become regardless if we’re perfect, or our situation is perfect. Just remember that we are perfectly imperfect & we don’t need perfection to be happy & enjoy our life all we need is Jesus & His love & acceptance.
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
2 Corinthians 12:9
Indeed, there is not a righteous man on earth who continually does good and who never sins.
And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ
