Complete Trust

God has really been speaking to me about trust lately. The last two weeks at church during worship the songs have been about the faithfulness of God & how He’ll never fail us. I’ll be honest with you, life has been rather interesting lately. I just graduated from Bible College & I’ve been working away in a job that has left me stressed, anxious, & beyond frustrated. I was asking the question is this really what God has for me? I’ve been obedient I did what He asked & this is how I’m being rewarded for it? Everyone I talked to was like you have to trust God it’s a process it’s not like everything great happens all at once & though I know that I’m human & trust is an issue I’ve always struggled with. So at the end of my week walking into church & singing songs about God’s faithfulness & how He’ll never fail was exactly what I needed it & I felt God speak to me that I can trust Him. No, matter what in the end it’ll all work out because He’s in control. So even though I’ve been somewhat miserable & my life has been stressful I know that this is just a season & it will end. What’s important is where my trust is? Is my trust in my circumstance alone, or in the one who controls everything? God knows my heart, He knows my desires, & He sees every detail. He’s got everything right in His hands & if I can just keep my eyes fixed on Him it will all work out. It doesn’t mean that things will always be perfect or go exactly the way I planned, but I always know that He’s faithful & He’s got it under control. I know that if I choose to put my trust in Him everything will be alright. If I take a minute & look back over my life I’ve been so blessed not because I did anything, or because I deserve it, but because of who He is & how good He is. I can look back over my life & be reminded of all the times He’s been faithful even when I haven’t been. I know that if I trust in Him it’ll all be okay. I hope you know this as well.

Those who know your name trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you.

Psalm 9:10

Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.

Psalm 20:7

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Isaiah 41:10

  1. Hi Alisha! I completely understand the feeling of being in a job you don’t like and wondering if this is God’s will for you or not. I agree that trusting Him is key! He will not withhold any good thing from us. From one twenty something to another! ❤
