So this past weekend I did something crazy. I went to two different concerts in one weekend, not something I would recommend because you’re definitely going to be exhausted, but I talked about how at every concert I just take a second to take everything in & be in the moment.

So tonight was amazing. SO much fun. Every concert I go to I always take a minute & just soak everything in. No, singing, no, dancing, no phone I just stand there & take it in. I’m so beyond thankful to live in a place where I can have experiences like this, where I can afford to go to a show like this, where I can watch a group of boys from Korea be welcomed with open arms, along with all the things that make them unique, & I can come home after with memories because I had a phone to record with. I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of going to shows, but whenever I come back from one I’m always incredibly thankful for the life I’m blessed to live. Thank you BTS for an experience of a lifetime, thank you for being willing to travel & share your talents & thank you for encouraging everyone to love themselves & others around them! 💕
What I learned from this crazy weekend is it’s good to take time out of our busy lives & do things we enjoy, but also to remember to take time & be in the moment. I’ll be honest looking back I wish I had spent less time on my phone at the BTS concert so that I could just take it ALL in. There’s a time & place for everything & I’m really realizing that our phones really take away from moments in our life. I know even sitting down & spending time with God can be interrupted if I choose to be unwise with my phone. We need to remember to take time out of our lives & be in the moment. Put the phone down, it’s okay if you don’t get the photo for instagram. Trust me, I love recording memories, because I love going back & looking at them, but when you’ve spent the majority of an event on your phone instead of enjoying it, you look back & are like man, I wish I spent more time in the moment not worrying about if I get that perfect shot. When I spend time in the moment without my phone I always feel so much better, I become more thankful for the life I’ve been blessed to live, because I’m not busy comparing my moments to someone else’s. Make a conscious effort this week to spend more time in the moments of your life without your phone.
